Introduction

Welcome to the home page of 479 (Rubery) Squadron Air Cadets.

The Air Cadets is a fantastic opportunity for young people between the ages of 13 and 20 to develop their personal attributes and gain experiences that they will remember for ever. It offers a scope of activities from the Duke of Edinburgh's award to flying aerobatics and adventure training through to summer camps. Cadets annually spend camps on RAF bases around the country visiting various squadrons ranging from operational fast jets to training aircraft.

Our squadron has been fortunate through the hard work of the cadets, staff and civilian committee to purchase equipment for the cadets to use on their activities along with our own minibus.

479 squadron is situated in Rubery, south Birmingham, and currently has around 40 cadets. We Parade on Monday and Wednesday between 7.00 - 9.30PM

I hope that after visiting our website you will gain a further insight in to what 479 squadron offers young people and realise you could be part of that too.
